The Woodland Boat dog friendly accommodation will be an extremely memorable and unique holiday opportunity for you in Hingham, Mid Norfolk.
You won’t be anywhere near water (!) but you will be staying in a brilliantly converted boat house in a secluded and fantastically rural location on a working stud farm.
This particular “property” (boat!) is on the same working stud as The Loft which you can read about here, Jimmy's Shed, and The Picture House and comes under the name of Manor Farm Stays. Each sleep 2 people and can be taken as a whole, or separately.
The location of The Woodland Boat (and the other properties at Manor Farm Stays) is fantastic, and the views from the boat are lovely, looking across open fields and woods on which you are free to walk your dogs. It is incredibly peaceful.
This is a superb dog friendly accommodation. There is plenty of space to take them out everyday, they'll love all the smells that go hand in hand with woods and fields! (Please keep them under control as it is a working stud and there will be foals and horses in the paddocks. This applies to the other accommodations too).

The Woodland Boat has a real wow factor to it! If you’ve ever sailed in one of these boats, possibly along The Broads, I think you’ll be amazed at the layout of this particular boat! It’s absolute luxury compared to what you’d get on a rented boat on the water!
In the middle of the accommodation is a wonderfully reclaimed wooden beam where you’ll find fluffy dressing gowns waiting for you!
With windows all around, it’s a beautifully light space. And in the evenings, you can shut all the curtains and hunker down with the log burner going and just relax with the surrounding peace and quiet.
At one end of the boat is the kitchen and dining area with views out to the woods. It has an oven, washing up sink, fridge and a wood burner as well as a very modern heater. Logs are provided free of charge for the wood burner which is always an added bonus. There is also a table and chairs for dining.
Beyond the kitchen area is the comfy king size bed and has a smart TV on the wall at the foot of the bed. When it’s time for bed, you can separate the living area from the bedroom by drawing the curtains across.
Beyond the bedroom is the bathroom. A little originality has been used here as you’ll enjoy a shower sitting down on a lovely wooden bench (the ceiling can be a little low for a full standing shower!). However, I have it on good authority that this novel way of taking a shower has kept everyone amused and all have enjoyed the unique experience!
There is also a heated towel rail in the bedroom, and bathrobes are provided.
Just a few steps away from the boat is the very popular hot tub, or why not relax on some hammocks hanging from the trees.
The boat is surrounded by open fields and woodland and is incredibly peaceful. Manor Farm Stays is the perfect place to come and stay in order to get away from your bustling busy lives.
The only noises you are likely to hear are the neighing of horses and the tweeting of the birds!
If you ever need anything, Charlie and Alice work and live on the farm so they are always available to answer any questions you may have.
Outdoor table and chairs are provided on the grass alongside the boat, as well as the hammocks in the woods. In addition, you’ll have private use of the gas fired BBQ and firepit.
"This place is absolutely beautiful and we loved our time here. The view is perfect and we just didn’t want to leave the hot tub".

"Alice and Charlie, thank you for being so welcoming and accommodating. The boat is equipped with everything we could need".

"Had the best relaxing weekend. It is exactly as it is advertised and very comfy and cosy in the boat. Loved the hot tub with horses in the back ground. Definitely be coming back here and would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing weekend"
