Railways, Boats And Large Houses

Having been busy in the summer months with organising a lot of walking holidays, I now spend the autumn and winter time adding information to the Explore Norfolk UK website for you to enjoy. Last month I took a long overdue trip on one of 5 Norfolk Heritage Railways, the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway, which I thoroughly enjoyed. So, in this month’s edition you can read about the following:

- Wells & Walsingham Light Railway
- Felbrigg Hall
- Cromer to Felbrigg circular walk video
- Manor Farm Stays, unique accommodation on a working stud farm

Wells & Walsingham Light Railway

I’ve left this a bit late to write about as unfortunately it’s now closed until Feburary half term, but I hope you might take a look at this attraction and put it on your to-do list next year.

Puffing its way from Wells to Walsingham, this is a great opportunity to visit the historic village and enjoy a relaxed day on the smallest narrow gauge railway in the world!

Felbrigg Hall

Felbrigg Hall is a Jacobean National Trust property dating back to the 17th Century, situated just outside Cromer. It’s one of Norfolk’s more unassuming historic homes with a fantastic walled garden, a lovely church with box pews, pretty lake, woodlands and vast grounds.

Discover the joy of Felbrigg Hall here.

Cromer to Felbrigg Circular Walk video

If you think you’d like to see what Felbrigg Hall is all about, why not make a day of it and do a 6.5 mile circular walk which takes you right through the grounds of the estate. You can stop off at the courtyard café on the way round and make a note to come back and visit it another day!

Watch the Felbrigg Circular Walk video here..

Manor Farm Stays

Manor Farm Stays comprises 4 amazing 1 bed accommodations on a working stud farm just outside Hingham. All of these accommodations are unique – one is a converted hayloft, one is a converted tractor shed, one is a converted stables and the final one is a boat!! Yes, a boat! Take your pick, or book all of them with a group of friends or family.

Thank you for reading this newsletter, and if you know anyone who may be interested to receive this, please feel free to forward it on to them.

Best wishes,
