Dog Friendly Days Out In Norfolk

There are lots of dog friendly activities to do in Norfolk. Start by exploring the castle and priory ruins that dot the Norfolk landscape, pack a picnic and enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the many parks and grounds of the numerous stately homes that welcome dogs, or you can even hop on one of the heritage railways that wind through the Norfolk countryside; a unique experience for both you and your four-legged companion.

RAF Air Defence Radar Museum

Now this is an unusual museum and one that I was particularly taken by. I recently had the opportunity to visit the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum in Neatishead which I found really captivating! One of the highlights for me was stepping into the Cold War Operations Room. You could almost feel the tension and urgency that must have been present during those intense times. It was fascinating to learn how radar technology has evolved from those early days to the present day, and how it continues to be a crucial part of military operations. The museum is run by dedicated volunteers and I highly recommend a visit to this museum.
