Good Afternoon,
Have you been to Winterton Beach yet? If not, you're missing one of Norfolk's great beaches.
Flanked by swathes of sand dunes, with soft sand and possible sightings of the seals, this is a wonderfully open and uncommercial beach (apart from a large café in the car park), as well as being dog friendly (although if there are seals, please keep your dogs under control and on a lead).
It’s a great chance to take a circular walk around the dunes, or slightly further afield to West Somerton and the ruined church (you can find this walk in the 16 Coastal Dog Walks book)
Dog walks around the Norfolk Coast.
One of the most exciting things to see on Winterton Beach in the winter months is the colony of grey seals that come to pup just north of the village. You can regularly see them with their seal pups on the beach or popping their curious heads above the water. What a treat! There's also a good sized car park manned by an attendant or two, the lovely Seal View Cafe for refreshments, and WC’s.

Best wishes,
