Good Afternoon,
Following on from last week when I discovered a couple of places for coffee and a bite to eat, I revisited two of my favourite walks, one from my
16 Coastal Dog Walks
book (which doesn’t have to be just for dog owners – there are some great short walks in this book) and the other from the Sheringham Short Break walking package which I am going to resurrect on the website soon - Incleborough Hill and Beeston Bump – and it reminded me why I love these walks so much.
Incleborough Hill happened to be on a snowy but sunny day and was just magical. A light coating of snow was over the ground and the gorse had a few pretty yellow flowers, giving a view that stretched all the way to the sea. I could see Sheringham on one side and Cromer on the other. Well worth the climb to the top.
On another day, Beeston Bump (once a WWII wireless listening station) offered equally spectacular views (apart from the caravan park to the east!). Despite the icy cold bracing wind, the visibility was exceptional and the view from the top is amazing, taking your eyes all the way to Weybourne. The steeper climb is worth every step!
Great
winter walks as you don’t get too hot walking up to the top of these hills!
You can find the Roman Camp circular walk in this book here -

Happy exploring!
