The Walsingham Way Pilgrimage Route

Good Afternoon,

I'm really happy to share my recent discovery with you this week - the ancient Walsingham Way pilgrim route. I've spent the past few weeks walking this incredible path, and I can honestly say it's become one of complete fascination to me.

Pilgrims have been walking to Walsingham since the 11th century, which I definitely didn't know until I began researching this route (caveat - I hated history at school, but now love it!) The path takes you through some of Norfolk's pretty countryside and villages, with some incredibly beautiful historic churches.

Religious or not, you have to admire the beauty of these sacred houses. It’s always said that Pilgrim routes are for all faiths and none.

What I loved most about this pilgrim route is how it connects you to centuries of history, takes you away from your busy lives and at the same time enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside that makes Norfolk so special.

I have now included the Walsingham Way as one of my walking holiday options. I've also been documenting the route, taking photographs, and gathering historical information to create a comprehensive walking guide that will be available very soon.

Miles of peaceful paths, ancient churches, and mid Norfolk landscapes are what you’ll experience on this journey.

If you’re looking for a different take on a walk that isn’t coastal, come and explore this ancient pilgrimage route, you won't be disappointed!
