Mysterious Norfolk: Tales of the Unexplained!

Good Afternoon,

Did you know Norfolk holds some of Britain's most fascinating ghost stories? As the evenings draw in, it's the perfect time to explore our haunted heritage!

Blickling Hall is probably best known for being haunted by Anne Boleyn, whose headless ghost appears each year on May 19th. Anne was born at Blickling, and her ghostly presence is said to arrive in a coach drawn by headless horses, carrying her own severed head! Nice!

Thetford Priory is also haunted! Founded in the 12th century, these extensive ruins are said to be haunted by a hooded monk who glides between the crumbling walls. Many visitors have reported hearing ghostly chanting when nobody else is around. I have yet to see these ghosts, but the stories are always fun to hear!

Blakeney Guildhall (photo at the top of the email) is also said to be haunted. Apparently there are a series of tunnels under the Guildhall and a fiddler once offered to explore these tunnels whilst playing his fiddle so that villagers could follow his progress. The fiddle suddenly stopped and he was never seen again!

Happy ghost hunting!
