Seal Watching at Horsey Beach!

Good Afternoon,

This is my exciting yearly update about an extraordinary sight that graces the east coast beaches of Norfolk every winter! The stars of the season will be beginning to make their grand entrance – the grey seal pups at Horsey Beach!

From late October through to February, Horsey Beach transforms into a very busy nursery for these incredible creatures. Imagine standing on top of the dunes, watching hundreds of seals basking on the beach below. It's a truly mesmerising sight that never fails to leave you in awe.

Remember, while it's tempting to get close, please don’t. Observing from a distance ensures the safety of both you and these magnificent animals. I’m glad to say that the Friends of Horsey Seals do a fantastic job at protecting these creatures from both roving humans and dogs.

For the best viewing experience, I recommend:
• Visiting early morning or late afternoon for optimal light and fewer crowds
• Bringing binoculars or your zoom lens for a closer look without disturbing the seals
• Following the guided paths and local warden advice

Don't miss this incredible natural spectacle right on our doorstep. This is one moment of the year that makes Norfolk truly special.

Enjoy!!
