Norfolk's Wildlife Reserves - Summer Nature Spotting

Good morning,

Have you discovered the incredible nature reserves dotted across the beautiful Norfolk landscape? July and August are when these magical reserves come alive with buzzing, fluttering and chirping creatures of all kinds!

Hickling Broad, Norfolk's largest reed bed, is the perfect spot to see several swallowtail butterflies amongst the reeds, a very special and rare sight if you do see them.

What I love about the Norfolk reserves is the diversity of insect life. From the electric blue damselflies at RSPB Strumpshaw Fen to the rare mining bees at NWT Cley Marshes, there's a whole miniature world waiting to be discovered. Don’t forget to take your binoculars and a magnifying glass - you'll be amazed at what you find!

What a great day out for the summer holidays.
